Course Information

Interested in doing theology properly?  Discover the Triune God who comes to engage us as an act of Grace that transforms our personal world.   Interested in peace?  Discover how it functions as a relational way of being between persons.  As a result, you will also discover what blocks mankind from experiencing the peace that God intends.  Now you will be able to expand the practical outworking of peace in your life.

How Courses Work

All of our courses are offered via online live attendance (using free webinar software, for which we provide a link). Each course is six weeks long, meeting online once a week on the same day at the same time. The weekly sessions run 90 minutes: 45 minutes for presentation and 45 minutes for Q&R. A maximum of 15 students will be randomly selected to participate in the Q&R sessions (system-generated). If a student misses a course session, the talk/lecture will still be available online for 60 days, but the live chat room interaction will not be available.

Live Class Dates

The course begins Jul 27, 2017 and runs weekly at 7PM EST. The live class dates are as follows:
  • Jul 27 – Session 1
  • Aug 3 – Session 2
  • Aug 10 – Session 3
  • Aug 17 – Session 4
  • Aug 24 – Session 5
  • Aug 31 – Session 6

About The Instructor

Marty Folsom is passionate about students and the life of relationships. He has been teaching as a theologian for over 20 years, getting out of the head and into the active live of theology as a way of engaging in relating. He has also maintained a marriage and family counseling practice for 19 years. Marty holds two Bachelor’s degrees, two Masters, and a PhD from the University of Otago, Dunedin New Zealand. He is married to Cindy with a blended family of six and one yellow lab. He loves the outdoors and playing in it, whether gardening, hiking, biking, or kayaking. He also loves the life of hospitality and preparing and sharing meals as an act of theology.
