Course Information

In this visually engaging presentation, discover how to transcend our 24-hour rat race by seeing a bigger perspective of time. Explore the presence of light and the passing of time as each relates to the foundational text of Genesis 1. Look through a broader, wide-angle lens at the trajectory of historical time that led to our present desire to overturn humanity’s imperial tendencies. Peer into a future path of hope, healing, and a steady increase in spiritual insight.  The course sessions are cumulative in nature and support peace-centered theology.

How Courses Work

All of our courses are offered via online live attendance (using free webinar software, for which we provide a link). Each course is six weeks long, meeting online once a week on the same day at the same time. The weekly sessions run 90 minutes: 45 minutes for presentation and 45 minutes for Q&R. A maximum of 15 students will be randomly selected to participate in the Q&R sessions (system-generated). If a student misses a course session, the talk/lecture will still be available online for 60 days, but the live chat room interaction will not be available.

Live Class Dates

The course begins Aug 1, 2017 and runs weekly at 1PM EST. The live class dates are as follows:
  • Aug 1 – Session 1
  • Aug 8 – Session 2
  • Aug 15 – Session 3
  • Aug 22 – Session 4
  • Aug 29 – Session 5
  • Sep 5 – Session 6

Full course details, including session titles and attachments, are available upon registration.

About The Instructor

After working for twenty-two years as a director of church music and artistic ministries, Ms. Wimmer experienced an intense time of spiritual instruction. The inspired insights opened the door to fresh theological perspectives in three areas of human concern: time, language, and an effective organizational model for church ministry. Because of the insights, Ms. Wimmer entered full-time research which culminated in the presentation of several academic papers within the Society of Biblical Literature from 2006 to 2010. Her suppositions were first published in The Encyclopedia of Sciences and Religion, New York London; Springer Dordrecht Heidelberg, 2013.
